It’s a plane, not the one we flew on. In fact not even close, this one is an Airbus A320, we were on a Boeing 777-200ER, but let’s not let that get in the way of a good story.
Covered 9000 km squashed up in one of those for 11ish hours gate to gate. Don’t think I drove Janette and Nicola insane, but you may beg to differ:
Anyway, we landed and safely negotiated Narita airport and trained (took the train) into town (city). Someone obviously didn’t negotiate something safely ’cause these guys went whizzing (crawling up hill) past us, just after we’d seem them do a very military-like shift change.
Then we sat down to enjoy our first proper Japanese meal.
And because they took soooo long (I dunno, it may have been like 5 extra minutes or something) they were very apologetic and threw in a plate of salmon sashimi to tide us over. But more photos of the food in later posts.
9am now and we’re going to make our way down to Kyoto during the day.

Hmmmm – slightly crazed expression on their faces and dyskenisia of the digits, may be jetlag, may be too much Jason? Sooooooooooooo jealous, but great to know you are soaking up the experience. look forward to next post
