Anyway, it got dusty for the last year and then I started tinkering…

How to Fix a Graphics Card

Did a couple of tests and reckoned it could actually be the graphics card. Did a bit of googling turned up a suggestion to bake at 180-200C for 7-10 mins. So I did that.

    Might have to try this at home on ma and pa’s pc once they’re sure its the graphics card that’s the fault – can’t hurt, right?

    • Yeah, when you’ve got nothing to lose, well, you’ve got nothing to lose. :) Just remove all plastics and covers etc, and make sure you have some thermal paste handy ’cause you’ll need that when you reattach the heatsinks…
