<p>I kinda overlooked the fact it would be frozen when I was visiting.  Have a look over <a title="Lake Carezza" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/12708811@N07/1518089940/">here</a> to see what it looks like in warmer times.</p>
<p>It was a beautiful spot (<a title="Lake Carezza" href="http://www.suedtirolerland.it/en/nature-and-landscape/lakes/lake-carezza.html" target="_blank">http://www.suedtirolerland.it</a>), but I really struggled to make any good pictures there.  Here&#8217;s another snap just to make up the numbers.</p>

<p>The next day it was from Austria into Italy again, up over the 2094 m Jaufenpass and down into Merano.  Got a lot more photos to share from that day&#8230;</p>
