That was just over a year ago. My Dell XPS M1730 starting going a bit mental and then the screen died. Well, that’s what it looked like, but, since it wasn’t even booting as far as POST (Power On Self Test), I figured the motherboard had died. Anyway, it got dusty for the last year and then I started tinkering…

Did a couple of tests and reckoned it could actually be the graphics card. Did a bit of googling turned up a suggestion to bake at 180-200C for 7-10 mins. So I did that.

And now it’s working good as new:

Yeah, blew my mind.

Another industrial chic cafe, which you can only get away with if you do it well. And they do at Three Bags Full.
